Recycled Pallet Grades

At Essential Supply Chain Management, we evaluate our recycled wooden pallets based on their condition and categorize them accordingly. Our inventory primarily consists of pallets that are classified as Grade A and Grade B because we prioritize structural integrity and reliability. Pallets that fall below these standards are generally not offered due to their decreased dependability.

Grade A Recycled Pallets (commonly known as #1)
Grade A” pallets in our collection are recycled pallets that have been meticulously restored to a condition that closely mirrors their original state. During the refurbishment process, any damaged planks are replaced, ensuring that the pallet is in top-notch condition. These pallets are highly dependable and suitable for a wide range of shipping and storage applications, offering near-new quality and performance.

A-GRADE PALLET

Our selection of A-Grade pallets provides a balance of quality and availability,
with a more seasoned look than our top-tier Premium A-Grade offerings. A-Gradepallets boast a consistency in design and do not contain block repairs to
stringers, reflecting a better overall appearance and indicating fewer previous
shipping uses.
Features of Standard A-Grade Pallets:
● Composed of 7 top boards and 5 bottom boards.
● While 6-inch lead boards are not standard, they may be present on some pallets.
● Top deck board spacing averages between 2.5 and 3.5 inches.
● Equipped with 3 stringers, each sized at 1-1/2 inches by 3-1/2 inches.
● Accessible for 4-way forklift entry.
● Flush construction for ease of stacking and storage.
● Stringers are free from block repairs.
● Up to one repair plate may be added to each stringer to address any splits.

Reliable B-Grade Recycled Pallets (commonly referred to as #2)
Grade B pallets are seasoned veterans of the shipping industry, often bearing evidence of past damage to stringers. When such damage occurs, we implement a sturdy reinforcement by adding a companion runner alongside the affected area. The deck boards of Grade B pallets, both on top and bottom, may have been replaced over time, leading to a diversity in deck configurations. Despite these variations, Grade B pallets are still a robust and economically sensible option compared to new pallet purchases.
